What is self-storage and how does it work?
Renting a storage unit is a practical way to make more room at home, during a move, or for business storage. CSI Mini Storage Tacoma offers secure, convenient storage in Central Tacoma with climate-controlled units, covered loading, online rentals, online payments, and helpful office support.
What are your clear and transparent discount rate plans?
For most storage unit sizes, you can choose a 3-month or 6-month discounted rate plan. After the promotional term, your rent changes to the regular monthly rate shown for your unit, which is guaranteed for the rest of your first 12 months. If you stay for a second year, any increase is capped at 9% and that new rate is guaranteed for the entire second year.
Where is CSI Mini Storage Tacoma located?
CSI Mini Storage Tacoma is located at 2702 S Union Ave, Tacoma, WA 98405. Our Central Tacoma location is convenient for customers near Hilltop, Nalley Valley, Downtown Tacoma, Fircrest, University Place, and South Tacoma.
How does your free pick-up and move-in service work?
Our popular free move-in service gives new tenants scheduled help with our move-in truck and two movers to assist with loading and unloading items into their CSI Mini Storage Tacoma unit. This service is available by advance appointment and is subject to scheduling availability, service area, and move-in guidelines. Please contact the rental office before your move-in date so we can confirm the details.
How should I choose which storage unit to rent?
Use the Tacoma unit sizes and pricing page to compare available unit sizes, monthly rates, rate plans, and unit types. If you are unsure which unit is best, contact the Tacoma rental office for help choosing the right size.
Can I reserve my storage unit online?
Yes. You can reserve a Tacoma storage unit online at any time by reviewing current availability, choosing an available unit, and selecting the rate plan that fits your storage needs.
Can I pay my storage rent online?
Yes. Online payment is available for Tacoma storage customers. You can access your account from a computer or mobile phone and pay your monthly rent when it is convenient for you.
How can I set up an automatic payment option?
You can set up automatic payments by accessing your online account or by stopping by the Tacoma rental office. For your security, automatic payments cannot be set up or cancelled over the telephone.
Can I buy packing supplies and moving boxes?
Please contact the Tacoma rental office to confirm the current availability of boxes, packing tape, locks, and other moving supplies before your move-in date.
Is there a minimum rental term or can I rent month to month?
Our Tacoma storage rentals are designed to be flexible and are rented on a month-to-month basis. There is no long-term lease requirement, and our minimum rental term is one month.
Do you require me to buy storage insurance?
No. Tenant insurance is not required to rent at CSI Mini Storage Tacoma. Optional tenant insurance may be available, and you may also want to check whether your homeowner's or renter's insurance policy covers stored belongings.
Do you charge administrative fees or security deposits?

What items are not allowed to be stored in a storage space?
For the safety of our tenants, we do not permit storage of illegal, hazardous, toxic, flammable, or explosive items. We also do not allow food, living items, or other perishable goods. Please contact the Tacoma office before storing vehicles, tires, automotive parts, or any item you are unsure about.
Do you offer climate-controlled storage in Tacoma?
Yes. CSI Mini Storage Tacoma offers climate-controlled storage units that are useful for household items, furniture, documents, electronics, seasonal belongings, business storage, and local moves.
Do you provide security at your Tacoma storage facility?
Yes. CSI Mini Storage Tacoma provides controlled facility access and 24-hour security monitoring with on-site security features designed to help protect the property and stored belongings.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our storage rentals are on a month-to-month basis, and we require advance written notice before move-out. Please contact the Tacoma rental office for the current notice requirement and move-out instructions.
How do I update my credit card, email, mailing address, or access information?
You can update your account information by accessing your online account or by stopping by the Tacoma rental office. For your security, credit card information cannot be updated over the telephone.
Is your Tacoma facility closed on major holidays?
Yes. Access at CSI Mini Storage Tacoma is available Monday through Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and the facility is closed on major holidays. The rental office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is closed Sunday.
Can I drive up to my storage unit?
CSI Mini Storage Tacoma offers convenient access, covered loading, and ground-level unit options depending on current availability. Some units are interior or elevator-access units, so please review the unit type online or contact the Tacoma office before reserving if ground-level access is important to you.
Can I store a car or motorcycle in my storage unit?
Vehicle storage is not offered in standard Tacoma storage units unless specifically approved in advance. Please contact the Tacoma office before attempting to store a car, motorcycle, tires, or automotive parts.
